Let me apologize in advance for the lower quality photos as these were taken in poor light on my iPhone.
I was at Walgreens today and of course, I had to stop by the makeup to see if there were any sales. I came across this foundation that I had never used. Best of all, it was on sale for $3.99. To be honest, I have never had the best luck with the traditional liquid foundation and have stuck more to bb creams and cream or mousse foundations. I was intrigued to try this because it was a sensitive skin formula.
Off the bat, I had an issue with the design of the bottle. There was no pump or anything and I had to shake the bottle for about 5 minutes to get the slightest amount out and then had to repeat. The flaw in the design is a minor detail to me.
The formula was very creamy which was a plus to me. I used my Real Techniques Expert Face brush to apply and it went on very smoothly. It covered the redness of my skin very well which is always a big concern for me. I would say the coverage is about medium which is perfect for me on a regular day. It applied quickly and easily and I was already pleased.
Without any face makeup
I loved the finish and the coverage and I think it sat well on my skin. It was fairly matte but still looked natural. I am definitely going to be using this foundation and highly recommend it.
I then went and completed the look the way I typically would.
I started by using my DreamLumi concealer.
Next I set it with my All About Matt translucent powder.
My next step was to add bronzer. I use the bronzer from my Sephoa Palette. (The top of the photo)
To complete my face I used a touch of blush, also from the same palette. (The bottom color in the photo)
Finally I finished my look with some eyeliner (Ulta Gel liner in Primetime), a touch of mascara (Benefit They're Real) and some lipstick (Ulta Lipstick in 237).
It is a fairly simple and clean look but I love it. If I am going out during the day and wearing makeup, I typically wear a look like this.
I hope you are having a fantastic Monday and I will talk to you tomorrow.
Kelsey
P.S. In just a little bit I will be posting the weekly schedule that I will be using starting next week.
